Super Dog Scout

Regardless of how we do at a trial, she is still Super Scout.

This is a game of ups and downs, and this year we've definitely had our share of both.

Team Scout has had an amazing season, trialing at ELT-S, ELT-P, and Summit Trials. Along the way, we've earned placements in our searches, our second ELT-P title and have been working toward both a Summit title and another ELT-S title.

Not every search was one we'd want on Team Scout's Nosework highlight reel—and that's okay. Those tougher searches taught us just as much, if not more, than the successful ones. They showed us where we can grow and reminded us that the next search is always a fresh start. The challenge is deciding whether to carry the last search with you or leave it behind. Every run is another chance to be present, trust your dog, and start with confidence.

One of the greatest things about Nosework isn't found anywhere in the NACSW manual—it's the people. We are so lucky to have friends at trials. When our confidence wavers and we begin to doubt ourselves, there are those whose encouragement and belief in our team never waver. Their support reminds us why this sport is so special.

Titles and placements are wonderful milestones, but spending time with our Nosework friends and their amazing pups is, and always will be, the biggest win.❤️🐾 And remember, as our certifying official said to us at the last trial, "It's supposed to be fun!"
